New Patients

We welcome new NHS patients wishing to register at our surgery providing they are or will be residing within our catchment area for a minimum of 6 months (evidence may be required) and subject to eligibility to receive NHS services. Some visitors to this country may need to be treated as a PRIVATE patient i.e. treatment subject to a fee being paid even though they may be residing here for 6 months or more - please speak to a Receptionist for further details.

If you wish to register as a patient with us, please collect a Registration Form and a New Patient Green Card from Reception. We like all our new patients to have a "New Patient Check" with one of our nurses and you will be encouraged to make an appointment for this. The purpose of such an appointment is to undertake some basic checks e.g. height, weight, blood pressure etc. and also to obtain some background information.

Temporary Patients

If you are temporarily staying in our area e.g. visiting a friend, returning from University etc. and need medical attention you can register with us as a "Temporary Resident". Details of any treatment given, consultation received etc. will be sent to your registered surgery. If you need to register as a Temporary Resident please speak to a Receptionist for further details.

Changes to your Registration details

If existing patients move out of our catchment area it will be necessary to ask them to register with a Practice nearer to their new home.

In order to maintain accurate records we do ask that you tell us of any change in your particulars e.g. name, address, telephone number (including mobiles) etc. It is imperative we hold an up to date contact number for you should we need to contact you quickly e.g. in the rare event that an appointment has to be rearranged/cancelled etc.

You can advise us of a change in your details by calling in to the surgery and obtaining a form from Reception or by sending us a letter. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept instructions by fax or e-mail.
