Minor illness

Some illnesses may not require you to see a doctor to obtain advice or treatment. We have a specially trained nurse who can assess/advise and prescribe if necessary.

If you feel your illness or symptoms fall into one of the following categories then ask for an appointment with our Nurse Practitioner rather than a doctor:

Coughs and colds

Diarrhoea / vomiting / constipation

Earache / ear problems

Flu / fever / sinusitis

Gynaecology / vaginal discharge / pill checks / emergency contraception / mastitis

Hay fever

Headaches

Rashes / skin problems

Sore throats

Urine infections / cystitis

Wound infections / lacerations
